How many motorcycles are allowed on each tour?

We can´t establish a limit on the maximum number of motorcycles participating on a tour. But we know, from our experience, that a maximum of six motorcycles is the most confortable number to travel in group.

Can I buy a tour and travel alone?

Yes, you can. Before the beginning of the tour, RideON has a briefing with the customer detailing the daily program of the tour, where we hand the hotel vouchers and instruct the customer on how to use the Garmin GPS device.

Do I have the choice of travelling with a RideON tour leader?

Yes. The prices of our tours are always announced without tour leader, only using GPS, but you can choose the option to travel with a tour leader. RideON will send you, by e-mail, the price of the tour leader for the chosen trip, which will be established according to the number of the participantes on the tour.

What are the advantages of travelling with a tour leader?

Our tour leaders have a deep knowledge of the terrain, route and local culture, and they will provide a personalized guidance to the participants, sharing the same hotels and restaurants during the entire trip. The tour leader travels with the participants, always in front of the group, riding a BMW R 1200 GS equipped with GPS. The languages spoken by our tour leaders are english, spanish and portuguese.

Can I rent a complete RideON riding gear?

RideON does not have riding gear available to our clients. However, helmets may be reserved, along with the rental motorcycle from our partner, Hertz. If you wish to make use of this option, it is necessary to send us, by e-mail, the right measure for your helmet. It is also possible to provide a helmet for the passenger - if it's available, because, generally, there is only one helmet for each motorcycle.

How much extra money should I bring on a tour?

Our prices don't include fuel, lunch and dinner. RideON tours have an average of 300 km each day - around 30 € a day for fuel. Meals are not expensive in Portugal, especially lunch. They may cost up to 20 € per person. Dinner may be bought on the hotels, and prices may cost up to 40 € per person. However, you also have the cheaper option of having dinner outside the hotel, in nearby restaurants.
There is also the option to plan a tour with everything included. RideOn will make you a proposal with the costs for the required service, including meals and fuel, if you wish to.

How will I transport my personal luggage?

The Hertz rental motorcycles used by RideON are equipped with a set of three cases - two panniers and one top case. There is also the option for a support vehicle that will deliver your luggage at the hotel each day. All our tours can be tailored according to your needs.

Can I bring my family along on a support vehicle?

RideON is prepared to adapt each tour to your desires and needs. You can choose to have a car with GPS, or a driver, so that you can spend your holidays with your family. Just tell us what is the upgrade you want, and we'll offer you the best proposals.

How do I pay for a tour?

After having chosen your tour, just click on the "book now" button, fill in the form, and send it to us. Upon the reception of your e-mail, we will send you a notification, with an account number to make the necessary down-payment.
The payment methods are described on the Terms and Conditions area of our website.

Do I have an insurance included on the price of the tour?

A Limited Public Liability Cover until 50.000.000,00€ is included in the Hertz motorcycle rental contract, mandatory under the portuguese laws.
Although it is not mandatory, the operator recommends a travel insurance, made in your own country, covering personal accidents, medical expenses, or even repatriation and legal protection.
